Religion vs. Science

Few quotes I could find around the Internet about Science\Religion

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

"Science, Philosophy and Religion: a Symposium"

(Albert Einstein) "

"Culture (science) is the form of religion; Religion is the substance of culture (science)." (Theologian Paul Tillich)

"For the belief in a single truth is the root cause for all evil in the world."

(Max Born)

"He who has Art and Science also has religion,
But those who do not have them better have religion."

(Goethe)

Religion fanatics kill in the name of their faith. Science fanatics become scientists.

(Levi)

  1. There's a big difference between 'god' and religion.
Religion is organised by people, for people who want to follow one particular path, often with the intent of seperating them from their money.
Millions of people believe in god but never go to church, nor follow any organised religion, I'm one of them.
That's not to say I don't 'believe' in science also...it's fairly obvious that god did not wave a magic wand and create the universe in less than a week, but maybe he did light the fuse which set off the big bang?
