Some of these perspective videos are very interesting. There's another with stacks of pennies on a table, showing the effects of some budget cuts on the deficit. I forget what it was called, but essentially, it's "we're cutting x billion dollars" then he cuts a quarter out of one of the thousands of pennies, and shows the impact.
With all the information out these days its hard to believe that people still doubt the existence of UFO's! This was an amazing perspective video I look forward to reading more of your stuff! Keep it up!
this is one question i try to avoid and usually close my eyes and scream yadayadayada. This will take away the present time. we are always taught to visualise things with end if I think abt universe it goes no where, so I better skip thinking abt it
see i have to disagree on intelligent life being found out there somewhere. Even if there was why would they make contact with us? The only reason they would contact us would be the same reason that Europeans went for the new world.
I never knew the universe was so big, I was amazed to find out the other day that they may have discovered another planet very deep in our solar system. We have so much to learn still about our own system and planet it's insane!
I really can't even begin to put in to perspective the massive scale of our universe. There is absolutely nothing to compare it to. Watching these types of videos makes me think for hours. Thanks for the post. I'll be following your blog.
We'd never know, but our species is probably not even smart compared to the ones we've never seen before.
ReplyDeletecan only imagine... interesting video
ReplyDeletewow! i cant believe we are that small! the universe is such a mysterious place
ReplyDeleteI think we'll make contact with aliens in our lifetime. They must exist as the universe is so huge.
ReplyDeleteI'm giving a quotation from one of the tripreports I wrote when on drugs: "We are not true"
ReplyDeleteAs the guy on Discovery says: Youre an ant! Tho, have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteGreat video. I am going to show this to my friends later.
ReplyDeletei like this video.. and of course we will be able to make contact with aliens in our lifetime
ReplyDeletenice blog!

ReplyDeletemakes me wonder what the most advanced species could be like.
ReplyDeleteI love videos like this... makes you feel small though.
ReplyDeletethe universe is at least 12 meters wide
ReplyDeleteWe'll never truly understand what's out there... it's scary.

ReplyDeleteWow, that was pretty awesome.
ReplyDelete@Daan, on drugs and writing gets the best out of you
ReplyDeleteit feels weird when it's put into perspective.

It'd be an aweful waste of space if there was nothing else out there.
ReplyDeleteI posted something similar on my blog about the size of our planet in comparison to other planets and stars. Truly amazing stuff. Followed.
ReplyDeleteI really like Carl Sagan's blue dot too.
ReplyDeleteWOOOOOW! Instant added this vid to my favs, aswell your blog...
ReplyDeletePeople must be really stupid to think that this whole thing is there just for us, small beings...
If we encounter other life forms, well if they encounter us, then we're boned. We wouldn't even be within 5000 years of their technology.
ReplyDeleteWe're not even a spec on the universe, how can people believe that there are no other forms of life?
ReplyDeleteWe are to Cthulhu as plankton is to the mighty whale
ReplyDeleteI love videos like this, this is precisely why I get to have a positive outlook. Because nothing really matters :D
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the technology gap that many think will be present should we encounter ET will really be so great.
ReplyDeleteI know we are not alone in the universe. It is interesting to listen to people who are ignorant and think we are the only intelligent life out there.
ReplyDeletei swear there must be so many other planets with intelligent life on it. I wonder if they have internet?

ReplyDeletewow... just wow.....
ReplyDeleteNice post.
ReplyDeleteFunny how with how small we are and how big the universe is, religious people STILL believe their god made it all just for them.
Great video ! I feel like we are sooo nothing in the universe...
ReplyDeleteAmazing video
